HEIDENHAIN EXPOSED LINEAR ENCODERS:

HEIDENHAIN Exposed linear encoders are designed for use on machines and installations that require high accuracy of the measured value. Exposed linear encoders operate with no mechanical contact between the scanning head and the scale or scale tape. Photoelectric scanning is non-contact and therefore wear-free. It detects even the finest graduation lines a few micrometers wide and generates output signals with very small signal periods. Typical areas of application for these encoders include measuring machines, comparators and other precision devices in linear metrology, as well as production and measuring equipment, for example in the semiconductor industry.

HEIDENHAIN LIC SERIES (Absolute):

The LIC exposed linear encoder permits absolute position measurement both over large paths
Of travel up to 28 m and at a high traversing speed (they match the LIDA 400)

Absolute versions that provide unique position at all times, including when powered on and off, and incremental versions that generate an output signal each time a marker/gradient is crossed.
