G.E. VAN WERT HAS OVER 50 YEARS OF ON SITE SCALE SERVICE AND REPAIR

With the Heidenhain PWM 21 we have ability to diagnose encoder issues while the equipment is on the machine.  This avoid unnecessary down time and dismantling of a machine just to trouble shoot a problem.  All of our test equipment is supplied and certified by the Heidenhain Corporation. Our service personnel have been hand selected and trained by the Heidenhain Corporation.   We have over 100 years of combined service experience.

TRAINING (Heidenhain equipment, "METRONICS" displays):

We offer on-site training for Heidenhain product maintenance (with proper test equipment). We also offer extensive training on the "METRONICS" Quadra-Chek display series (METRONICS is a wholly owned Heidenhain sister company).   This training if on optical comparator and Vision systems and that are equipped with the Metronics/ Heidenhain geometric digital readouts (Quadra-Chek 2000 and QC 200 DROS).  Training is also available at Topsfield, MA.

Procedure for On-site Service:

  1. Contact us first we may be able to solve your problem with a quick fix.  (978) 887-3389 ask for Eric or Bob.
  2. Determine if you want an on-site service visit (see link below for latest rates).
  3. Set up appointment for visit.  Please inform us with problem, make and type of the   encoder and if it’s of RUSH Machine Down Status.
  4. A service PO will be needed for this step.  A not exceed dollar amount may be applied to    PO or it can be left blank. The service man will give you the cost of the service all for   that day.
  5. Sign copy of work sheet to approve repair cost.

LARGE TRAVEL MACHINES (Up to 30 meters/100 feet travel):
Van Wert specializes in the retrofit and repair of large travel digital readout applications (CNC and manual) for unquestioned accuracy in the tight tolerances required today. We service existing installations and can provide professional turnkey retrofit installations when needed.

"STANDARD" SIZE MACHINE TOOLS:
We provide the same services for (CNC and manual) machining centers, horizontal and vertical lathes and small mills.

CMM's (Coordinate Measuring Machines):
We service and upgrade coordinate measuring machines, toolmakers microscopes, optical comparators, machine tool pre-setters

Please note:  all of your service work is 6 months parts and labor warranty unless otherwise stated.
